Hello Crime Fighters of South Africa

Things are getting exciting on Turn It Around. We are approaching 9,500 members in 650 suburbs across South Africa. Our army against crime is really growing.

Even the petition to Ban the Blue Light Brigade has gone over 28,000 signatures and was signed by Helen Zille. It will be handed to the Minister of Transport on the 1st of December. If you have not signed it yet - click here to add your name.

Thank you to those who have joined, your support is greatly appreciated. Please, please, please tell your friends and neighbours about the website and encourage then to sign up. Simply forward this very e-mail to everyone you know (I would so appreciate that).

To those who have not joined yet - now is the perfect time to sign up. There is a member lucky draw on 1st of December for a brand new Apple iPad. We will be doing a simple random selection of the member database - and YOUR name could be drawn.

If you are not familiar with how the site works - it is a system to report suspicious activity, crime incidents and local environmental issues online. As you report an item the website detects other members registered in the area and alerts them via e-mail. This allows us to share info and to really become the eyes and ears of our communities.

map explanation

The more information we can pool into a central database, the more effective we can become in identifying crime and criminals.

So sign up and start reporting any crime or suspicious activity you have seen. Your neighbors will get the message and they can comment on it.

Best of all Turn It Around allows you to remain anonymous when reporting and commenting as all you need to share is a nickname publicly. Your details are held private on a very secure dedicated server.

And if you don't like it you can simply delete your profile and you will be removed from the system.

The site is a private initiative that will be driven by sponsorships, but with more members and more support this will grow to become a powerful communication tool to fight crime in our country.

Thank you for taking the time to
